Transportation for Mom n Dad

Donation protected
Hi Everyone,

I am going to make this explanation as short and sweet as I can. My parents, who have helped me out tremendously over the years, are in desperate need of a vehicle. I contemplated creating this fundraiser for some time now with many reservations.  I was hoping to make this happen on my own and with help from my siblings, but It is just not feasible for us to accomplish ourselves during these trying times. I, personally, could not work to support my own household if it weren’t for my parent’s precious time and support.  This is the least I can try to do for my heroes, Fran and Kathy Sampson…

My Mother, Kathy Sampson, is a Breast Cancer survivor. With the damage done to her body from treatment and ongoing medical issues she is scheduled for numerous trips to see medical specialists. Sometimes up to 3 times per week.  Most of her appointments are scheduled in Lebanon, NH. (Roughly an hour drive from their home in Walpole, NH). My Mom, being the selfless woman that she is, tends to cancel these imperative appointments due to the fear and anxiety of inconveniencing myself and/or others.

Being their only source of transportation currently (my sibs are all in Mass) and working a full-time job is challenging to say the least. They rely solely on me to get them to appointments, to the grocery store and/or the pharmacy, etc. I have no qualms doing these things for them; however, their needs obviously revolve around my availability and that deeply saddens me.  It saddens me because they deserve so much more than I can give them.

They deserve the luxury of having their own vehicle; not just for the essential reasons such as appointments and trips to the pharmacy but for their sanity and well-being also. They are unable to hop in the car and go for a ride to get a breath of fresh air and simply take in the beautiful scenery around them (which is one of Mom’s favorite things to do). When the tension builds around them from being cooped up in the house for 24 hours a day, I feel it would do an unbelievable justice for their mental health to be able to simply get up and go when they feel like doing so.

No amount is too small, every penny counts towards helping them find the peace, tranquility, hope, comfort, and reassurance that they so desperately deserve.

Thank you for time and thank you in advance for the support.
