Trasplante de Barbara. Falta muy poco.

Hola,

Hi… I am Alejandro Muñoz, Venezuelan, I am currently living in Barcelona, Spain and I have opened this campaign to help my best friend's wife to collect money for q kidney transplant. They live in Venezuela and this is their story:

Just 3 days is the average time for a kidney patient to survive without dialysis, after that the body is decompensated by the excess of acids and the end begins.

My name is Bárbara Marval, with my husband César Villarroel, we have a beautiful  10 year-old  daughter, Noa Giselle. I am a patient of  stage 5 with chronic kidney failure and I need a kidney transplant urgently.

It is estimated that at this moment in Venezuela there are approximately 17 thousand people on dialysis, of whom only 3% will have access to receive a kidney transplant. In 2018, 32 centers of hemodialysis stopped providing the service to renal patients, leaving only 97 centers opened throughout the country.

To the irregularities that affect dialysis patients such as the lack of water, electricity and medical supplies, we must add the closure of the transplant program in 2016 due to the economical crisis affecting the health system . Thus, it does not  longer have the organization to take advantage of deceased donors. , This means that only living donor transplants can be done, which is only allowed between family members.

I have attended to dialysis three times a week for more than a year. I have been blessed by a relative who is willing to donate a kidney so that , I can recover my health and my normal life for 30 more years, we only need the money to pay the surgery in a private hospital, which should be carried out in March 2019. It is impossible to wait for this kind of surgery through the public Health System. In other countries the kidney transplant operation could cost between 60 thousand and 150 thousand dollars, but in Venezuela only 30 thousand dollars are needed plus transportation expenses and medicines  for the recovery.

Help me to be with my family for more years and see my daughter grow, you can help me in two ways : with your money donation , It doesn't matter the amount ( minimum €1) and  you can also help us by sending this message to as many people as you can by media and social networks, talk to your friends and family so they can help us as well, the more people see this message more donations you could get and reach our goal, get $ 35,000 to receive my kidney transplant in March 2019.

The money collected will go directly to the Policlínica Metropolitana of Caracas, where the transplant can be done.
We will thank you for the rest of our life.
