Transplant Assistance for Elaina

Elaina was born with Biliary Atresia, a rare, life threatening liver disease that occurs in 1 in every 15,000 births . Elaina was born via emergency c-section at 32 weeks, and had a life saving surgery three weeks after to prolong the need for a liver transplant. Elaina has been placed on the transplant list at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. After Elaina’s transplant we will need to stay in Houston for a minimum of 30 days while Elaina recovers and makes weekly follow up visits. After discharge we will have monthly and yearly follow up visits with the transplant team. Expenses will be used for temporary housing, food, gas, ensuring our kids are taken care of while we are gone, etc..
