Transition Expenses for Isaiah

Travis Early College High School student Isaiah Guzman received a significant and highly competitve QuestBridge scholarship to attend Columbia University in the fall.   The QuestBridge Scholarship Match Program "is a college and scholarship application process that helps outstanding low-income high school seniors gain admission and full four-year scholarships to the nation's most selective colleges."

His package also calls for him to contibute $2500 for various expenses including travel, a savings account, and cash on hand for personal costs.  Isaiah was recently awarded this amount from SAISD.  His teachers at Travis would still like to help him with these expenses as well as purchase a laptop to send him on his way. Isaiah is a disciplined and enlightened scholar who has a reverence for study.   He is gracious to his teachers and friends and humbled by this opportunity.   We are hoping for donations of any amount and hope to reach the goal by mid-August.  His teachers are most thankful for any kind of support, large or small, that can be given.
