Transhumance Art Exhibition

Donation protected
This artist led initiative is seeking funds to realise an inaugural art exhibition by the newly formed Migrant Artist Community  in ‘The Space’ gallery Phibsborough Dublin 7 to take place at the end of February 2020.

The group came together primarily as a point of contact to open up a debate about the inclusion in Irish arts of artists from migrant, refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds including those living in the Direct Provision system.

Our aim for this exhibition is to make a place for these artists to show their work to the public. The artists who have been invited to participate in this show come from many different art and design backgrounds and live in many parts of Ireland. The group currently has no public funding so we are raising money to cover the venue hire, transportation costs for artworks and artists and other costs incurred during installation of the show and the printing of a modest catalogue and business cards.

The artists want to share new perspectives with the local and wider community and add another rich layer to the Irish art scene.
