Lost My Job and My Housing, Help Me Get Back on My Feet ... Hi everyone. I am a Black transgender man who is working on legally transitioning, and I have lost my job after being harassed with anti-trans language. Other employees called me she and it, and generally made my experience at work unpleasant. After speaking up for myself, they fired me. After that huge setback, today Saturday October 24, I lost my housing. I do not have family and friends here in Maryland, as I am still pretty new to the state. Because of this I am reaching out to ask for help to get back on my feet, as I don't have a safety net out here. I have a job interview on Tuesday, but am worried about getting ready for that interview while staying in my truck without access to a shower. My food bank card should come in two weeks, but I'd also appreciate assistance with funds for food until that card arrives. Because I am trans, I would not feel safe at a shelter, and they do not seem to be open on the weekend. I am asking for $3000 to cover the following: Motel room: $500/week Tags for my truck so I can drive it to a job: $150Food and personal items: $200 Thank you for any support you can offer me.
