Transgender Hormone Clinic

My name is Stacie Pace, and I am a nurse practitioner. And so is my husband. We are trying to improve access to hormones for transgender people here in Mississippi. Rather than continuing to lease, which runs the risk of being discriminated against and then losing our space, we opted to purchase our own separate clinic office building back in October. Our vision is to create an exclusively transgender clinic, so that the transgender and gender nonconforming community will have a place that is all their own to come to and feel safe while receiving their care. There are many things that are needed to make this happen, most them costing money, and we are not independently wealthy people!

So far, my husband and I have been paying the clinic costs out of our own pocket in order to keep it going and keep the services available. We would like to serve as a safe place and a place of education for trans issues. And we would keep it open even just so folks could come in and use our restroom if needed so that trans folks would have a safe place for that, too. We have SO many plans that we want to put into play. But we are limited right now due to funding as we are still in the early phases of business development.
