Last year, I started a separate GoFundMe campaign to raise money for my new book, "A Practical Guide for Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Adults." The book is now written.  I need further funds to print this 500 page epic on trans health. This book covers surgeries, pre- and post-operative care, sexuality, presentation, PTSD, EMDR, PrEP - all the basics for living healthfully. We have the best full-color medical illustrations to make complex surgeries understandable. This will be useful for individuals who are transitioning - but will also serve as a comprehensive text  for health care providers of all types. Where else will you learn about post-phalloplasty tattoos and talapia vaginal grafts? My professional colleagues and my patients have graciously shared their information and stories. Again, I feature the striking paintings of Seattle artist Jacqui Beck (<a href="http://www.GenderPersonal.com">www.GenderPersonal.org)</a>.<br />          Over the past 20+ years, I have offered transgender medicine as part of my family medicine practice - with hormone treatments, puberty blockers,  pre- and post-operative care, and hair removal with anesthesia. Our patients range in age from 5 through 85. I certainly didn't learn this information in medical school - or in my nurse practitioner training before that. Here are the secrets I've learned over that time period.<br />          This year, COVID-19 impacted my medical practice enormously. While I personally funded my earlier book ('Where's MY Book?' A Guide for Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Youth, published in 2015), I simply don't have the money to do that now. We were fortunate to get a PPP loan to simply keep the medical practice alive! Please help me now as I get to the home stretch.
