Transformations for the Nations

Suicide rates and relapse are at a all time high with this Covid business and some of you already know that I am an advocate for the transformations retreat and all that it represents. I have been trying for the better part of two years to get people funding through traditional means without much success; so I am starting a go fund me in hopes to fund some of the 20+ people I have on a list I’ve been compiling for the last two years wanting to participate in The Transformations Retreat.

When I registered I was at my lowest point ever. I had lost my beautiful wife and children five months prior, due to my own behavior, addictions and unhealthy way of being. Essentially I had lost myself. My life was a complete mess and I was at the end of my rope, I felt like I did not deserve love and I had nothing left to give.

I was very hesitant to attend Transformations, my heart was wounded and shut down, but I did have an open mind and I figured at the very least it was another program to add to the list of “self improvement” courses and classes that I had under my belt to show Nisga’a Child and Family Services I was working hard to be a “good dad”. It was one of the best decisions of my life , cause it was a GAME CHANGING experience. In my opinion transformations helped change my outlook on life. It takes you back to your lowest point, teaches you to let go, and builds you back up bigger and stronger than you ever thought possible. I made connections with my Transformations community that will last a lifetime, Tom is one of my best friends mentors and confidants, October 19th will be my 5th visit to the Retreat (1 as a participant and four as a coach) in the past 2 years The after care is absolutely amazing as long as I’M willing to REACH OUT and continue to be honest with myself and with my home and transformations family. I know my head and my heart are now working together for me and my family to keep us healthy, rather than against me and I owe it to the guidance and friendship of Tom and his Transformations Team. Right now there is only funding for to get healthy and sober through traditional treatment centres, while that is great for some, I think people need to heal on their own term, I want to be a small part of helping them do just that.  The cost for one person to attend is $1950 plus applicable taxes.  I have put my goal as $2500 enough for one person, but, I will continue to repeat this “Go Fund Me” until an alternative funding source possible for people to heal on their own terms.
