Hello Humanity,

My name is Cindy Osuna and I am an advocate for the voiceless, for children currently living in poverty in outskirts of Battambang, Cambodia without the basic necessity of child care.

My mission is to raise funds to help these children get a head start in life by providing them with basic healthcare, shelter, food, and essential hygiene supplies.

This is truly a grassroots effort and my ultimate goal is to build a sanctuary shelter in this community, for these beautiful children and witness their transformation. I envision a shelter where they can come to receive trusted care, educational resources to grow into servants of God. I desire a home for them so they can learn and develop their sense of worth and purpose; that they are valued in our society and most importantly, that they are loved, seen, and respected by others.

I'm traveling to third world Cambodia in March to directly offer my time and support to these children who are currently living in poverty in the outskirts of Battambang, Cambodia. I pray I reach as many children as possible. Most of these kids are homeless and living on the streets, doing their best to survive just another day. I have seen it firsthand.

You may ask why am I doing this work? Well why not?! It's to pay it forward. It's for Humanity.

My story: I was also a child born into poverty and warfare in a Thailand Refuge camp during the aftermath of the Khmer Rouge/Cambodia genocide in the early 1980s. My family and I were the lucky ones because we received our help from a Christian community, who gave us a chance at life by sponsoring us to come to America. I AM the real immigrant story of resilience and fortitude. Because my family and I pressed forward, we survived and are thriving in this beautiful world.

I choose to be the lighthouse for these children and carry on the mission of my late brother Sophon Ith, who was an advocate for the voiceless before he past away tragically in September 2023. This is to also carry on his body of work.
