Transcript On Hold in Collections

Hey everyone, 

My name is Marianna Silva and I am a young disabled Afro Latina and mom of two toddlers.

In the most recent past, I have battled through on and off again homelessness, financial insecurity, and becoming mother during my year off of college. 

I currently hold a 4.0 G.P.A at Bunker Hill Community College and was pregnant the entire time. I had a baby a month early and drop all of my classes because of the difficult recovery and living as a single mother in a shelter with a newborn and sick toddler. 

Without knowing, I didn’t drop a class and it went into collections, my transcript for bunker hill is now on hold for 2k. I’m asking for help with funds for this as well as funds for 3 classes at Deaf INC in Allston. Thanks thank one of my best friend’s Madeline, I am currently enrolled in an ASL semester there starting September once a week at night and would like to continue so that I can place higher in a future college on the ASLPI test. 

Lastly, funds would also be going to College application fees and scholarships applications fees to Northeastern University, Boston University, Northern Essex Community College, Bristol Community College, Gallaudet University Online, and Framingham State University. I would also appreciate networking with others to help nominate and/or recommend me to scholarships and grants for both furthering education and business, I am a triple small business owner and I hope to combine them into one business and eventually create aschool or program for deaf arts.
