Transcona/Mission Gardens Residents

Transcona Mission Gardens residents in Winnipeg are faced with a David versus Goliath situation.  In 2014, the construction of the Plessis Road underpass began to improve the flow of traffic for the benefit of commuters. The forgotten victims of this, was the negative impact on the area residents caused by the trains now being built and staged in our community, on a 24/7 basis.  We are now being subjected to the revving of engines, banging of cars back and forth and diesel fumes, all happening behind our homes.   The building and staging of the trains prior to 2014 occurred within the confines of the rail yard.  Not anymore.   Bob Scott, an area resident, took up the cause for the Mission Gardens area and has invested more than 2 years of his time in this fight. Progress has been made but on a glacial pace. He has already incurred significant legal costs associated with fighting for this cause on behalf of the Mission Gardens residents and this Go Fund Me page is to help offset these costs.

We require the help of everyone to continue this fight because if this campaign is unsuccessful, the demise of our health and that of our children; the ability to enjoy our yards and the value of our properties will continue to be eroded.  While success is not a guarantee in this matter, doing nothing is not an option.
