<div>Hello everyone!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>IT'S PIZZA TIME!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>ABOUT TRANS PIZZA DAY: I've been connecting trans folks with free yummy pizza every year on Trans Day of Remembrance since 2017. I started doing this after I was gifted a pizza from a stranger for TDOR during a particularly hard year in 2016. It really helped me. Over the years, YOU have helped so many others.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Together, we have sent hundreds and hundreds of pizzas (thousands?) over 8 years.... pizzas that have helped so many others! Community is incredible and together we have kept us/trans folks safe(r) and fed and connected during a day that can be so isolating and hard.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>WE KEEP US SAFE:
</div>
<div>With Wendy, and through feedback and brilliant suggestions from many of you, we are continuing to figure out safety again this year. Due to increased threats to trans folks’ safety this year, it doesn't feel safe to be gathering data on trans people using Google/Meta platforms, though I'm happy to say we've had such gentleness and kindness over the years and never had an issue. Regardless, this year we will be doing things differently to ensure that we KEEP EVERYONE SAFE!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Here's how it will go this year:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>TAG/DM YOUR FAVE PIZZA PLACE NAMES*</strong>- Help us crowd source your favourite, trusted, and QT friendly pizza place and we will reach out and arrange pizza day. We will send pizza money in advance to the safe(r) pizza places we’ve crowd sourced who have agreed to participate. They will each have a certain number of pizzas they can give out.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I WANT TO EAT PIZZA: Heres what to do</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>GET YOUR PIZZA PASSWORD - On Trans Pizza Day on November 20, you can email us at our new Trans Pizza Day email address and get a pizza password to give to your local pizzeria to get your free pizza. Just call/order from the trust list of places and give them the pizza password.
</div>
<div>Voila! Up to $40 CAD of pizza on its way to you! Please do not share this password publicly in order to keep community safe.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I WANT TO SEND PIZZA: Heres what to do</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are a non-trans or cis person wanting to send some pizza love:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>DONATE TO AND PROMOTE THE GOFUNDME - We have a gofundme and are raising $14,000 like last year, which is $40 CAD per person x 350 pizzas. DONATE: Send enough for a pizza or two, or for some dipping sauce or soda! Let’s send send some Za ! Share the gofundme and help us get the word out!!!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong><em>NOTE:</em></strong> IN CASE THE PIZZA PLACES WHERE YOU LIVE ARE NOT SAFE - If you live somewhere without a safe or trusted pizza place in your town, we've been thinking how to get you pizza too. We have 50 spaces available for people to claim pizza funds and we will send you an etransfer to get food in a safe way that you know how to in your community. We will send out pizza funds in $40 CAD per person to 50 trans folks who sign up via an anonymous email form on a secure server. This form will be posted on Thursday.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>THANK YOU for donating to send some pizza love, this year especially.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our trans kin deserve love, care, justice, and our solidarity and rage. We should all get to live long enough to become elders. We should all get to move our bodies and play any sport we want to play. We should all get to use public bathrooms to relieve ourselves when we have to use the toilet. We should all get to be free. We are all inherently valuable. And we all deserve cheesy saucey goodness in a week of reminders about the challenges we are facing. Remember: We got this, and WE KEEP US SAFE!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Lets keep our trans kin feeling loved and cared for, and importantly, lets keep them safe!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are going to keep building community in the face of transphobia and will keep finding ways for us all to get and stay connected to community. Everyone still gets to send pizza love and everyone still gets pizza! And we are building community along the way.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please feel free to leave a message of love for pizza receivers when you donate and we will make sure these messages get to our trans kin!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Best wishes and much love &lt;3
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Syrus &amp; Wendy
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>*In Northern Turtle Island/Canada only. We have had to focus on north of the medicine line this year, but we hope to have a plan for next year that includes US pizzas!
