Hi! Thanks so much for visiting Drew’s Top Surgery Fund GoFundMe! This is a message from Aires Miranda-Antonio on the behalf of the wonderful Drew:
One of my best friends in the world and one of the best humans in this world, Drew of Angel Embroidery, is going to be getting top surgery at the end of November 2019!!!!! I am starting this campaign on their behalf because his kindness and hard working nature would never do this for himself. Drew works strenuous hours every week and still lacks full funding for the surgery and a safety net for his recovery period.
Drew, who is 20-year-old cancer living in Los Angeles, came out as a Trans Man (FTM) over six years ago now and has been binding their chest for almost as long. Drew has waited well over six years now for a consultation, an appointment, and now for this surgery. (A double mastectomy) However, Drew needs assistance in covering his copay and funding for his recovery period. As I anticipate Drew needing at least 5 weeks of a recovery period, where he will be unable to work or take on typical household tasks.
I believe everyone deserves to feel comfortable and affirmed in their body, but no one more than Drew. His unbelievable resilience, empathy, and loving nature are what made me fall in love with him and I assure you, you would too upon meeting him.
