Tragic Wapato Teens Accident

My name is Zach Dorr. I am a teacher and coach at Wapato High School. On August 5th, a tragic vehicle accident took the lives of 3 teenagers from Wapato and Toppenish High Schools. In addition, other occupants of the vehicle were injured, one of whom lost an arm and is in critical care at Harborview. The Wapato and Toppenish communities are devastated by these deaths. Funeral expenses and medical expenses are not an easy burden to bear, especially with the economic factors and challenges we face in our communities. This Go-Fund me account will benefit the families of ALL of these children who have been lost way too early. These kids were all working their own jobs and helping to support their families; a noble quality as teenagers but, one that is familiar to those of us who call this area our home. As of right now, the names of these kids are being kept private. We want to respect the families and their right to grieve. Please contribute anything that you can to help out two outstanding communities who have already banded together with loads of support. Wapato and Toppenish are amazing communities to live and work in. These gifts of support to these families will further cement those qualities.

To be specific- We have opened a charity account at HERITAGE BANK in Toppenish. All funds from this campaign will be deposited into  this account where we will be able to issue funds to these families. The account has been established under the name WapatoToppenish Crisis Relief. Funds will be withdrawn from this account via cashier's check and issued to the families.
