A few days ago, this young family was ripped apart by the loss of a truly magnificent and loving mother. Amy was a vibrant soul, who was tragically and suddenly torn from her family following an asthma attack at the young age of 33. Her passing has truly devastated her family and friends. She was a devoted mother to her two young children, ages four and seven, and they are deeply heartbroken at the loss of their mother, who was the center of their and their dad’s world. It is hard to believe that someone so vibrant and full of life is no longer with us. Her smile was contagious, lit up the room, and warmed those around her. Her warmth, creativity, compassion, and wit have been passed on to her children, and they are in dire need of our help right now. Matthew, the love of her life and true soulmate, is dealing with the tragedy of losing his best friend, the financial stresses of funeral and other expenses arising out of the tragedy, and raising their sweet boys.
The family is profoundly grateful for all who have reached out with kind thoughts and concern for their well-being, for food and cards sent to the hospital the past two weeks, and the abundance of prayer.
This GoFundMe has been set up as a centralized point to accept donations to help the family, including assisting with funeral expenses, as Matthew is the sole supporter of his family and caretaker for his two young children. Funds raised will go to funeral expenses of $4400, and we listed the goal at $4500 for the $4400 funeral expenses and an additional $100 to defray gofundme charges. Any contributions in excess of the goal will go to a memorial plaque/headstone in the amount of approximately $1200, and any additional funds will go to providing household help and basic necessities for the family's immediate needs.
