Tragic loss of a pet

It is so hard for me to write this right now, I feel it is just a big nightmare! This year has been by far the worst year ever, im sure for a lot of people as well. We have lost so much this year, so when we got Teddy he was such a big part of our family. Emotionally he helped in so many ways, especially with my kids. They say everything happens for a reason, but its hard to except that.  Sunday evening Teddy went under a car.  We did not think it was bad, but our positive thoughts were quickly diminished when we brought him to the vet. We tried everything in our power to save him . His injuries were not in his favor and we had to make a very very hard decision. The surgeries he would have needed were very extensive with still a small chance he would even make it. Hearing this news just completely broke my heart. I worked so hard to be able to do this for my family, and I knew my 7 year old would be shattered. Luckily they let me sit with my Teddy during his last minutes. It was so hard, but seeing him comfortable and not in pain gave me a little peace. Now that this nightmare is over we are left with a hefty bill. They were nice enough to drop some of it, but as a lot of you know vet care is extremely expensive!! Asking for help is not easy and anything anyone can do to help during this terrible time would be greatly appreciated
