Tragedy strikes couple twice in 6 months

Hi, my name is Trish & I'm hoping to raise some funds for my sister and brother in law. Anything will help.

In January of this year Charmayne had a bad fall resulting in a brain bleed and a brain injury. She is on the mend, but she has been unable to continue her part time employment at Sobeys. She has not been able to access any type of disability income during this time to current date. Her husband Joe has been supporting the household since then with his construction job.

In June of 2021 Joe started feeling extremely unwell. Charmayne took him to the hospital on June 21st, he was promptly admitted with heart failure. He underwent a triple bypass, and had a pacemaker implanted. 4 days later he was taken back into surgery and had a VAD device implanted as his heart was not sufficiently pumping blood to his organs and his kidneys were shutting down. He remains in hospital and is slowly recovering however even just today he needed another blood transfusion. His road to recovery is and will remain to be very difficult and long.

Joe leads a healthy lifestyle but sadly heart disease is hereditary in his family.

Due to Joe's construction employment he is not able to access any type of disability or other type of assistance. Charmayne and Joe have been without any income whatsoever and things are getting to the dire point. Please, anything will help. God bless and thank you so much. ❤
