NECESITAMOS TRAERLES A ESPAÑA CON URGENCIA
Mi nombre es Ninoska Graterol y estoy recaudando dinero para poder ayudar a mis padres: Hermes de 82 años y Tere de 75, que viven en Venezuela y a los que necesitamos sacar cuanto antes de allí.
Mis padres necesitan atención y cuidado, especialmente mi papá, que hace unos años, sufrió una ICTUS (enfermedad cerebrovascular isquémica) y requiere tratamiento de por vida. Además, el año pasado sufrió un grave problema de corazón que ha ido a peor, porque en Venezuela no se consigue el tratamiento que necesita, y al no tomarlo, sus pulmones se llenan de líquido y su estado se deteriora cada día más.
Ellos viven en Maracaibo, donde la situación es insostenible, ahí pueden pasar días sin agua ni electricidad en una ciudad en la que el calor es insoportable durante todo el año. De hecho, durante uno de tantos apagones de luz, mi padre se tropezó al no poder ver por dónde caminaba y se cayó, fracturándose el hombro. Llevarlo al hospital fue una odisea, ya que la ciudad tiene una grave crisis de transporte público. Aparte de todo esto, la escasez de alimentos no les permite alimentarse de manera adecuada, y la hiperinflación de la moneda hacen que cada día sea más inaguantable para ellos.
Son personas maravillosas y se merecen tener todo lo que nos han dado, no sólo a nosotros, también a todos aquellos que han ayudado durante su vida, porque siempre han estado dispuestos a tenderle una mano a quien la necesitara. Sinceramente, no conozco personas más nobles en el mundo.
Su plan de jubilación era disfrutar de su vejez rodeados de sus hijos, nietos y amigos, pero debido a la crítica situación actual del país, mis hermanos y yo hemos tenido que emigrar, y ahora ellos necesitan hacerlo también. Estamos instalados en España de manera legal, y gracias a ello, podemos hacernos cargo de su manutención una vez que lleguen aquí, pero lamentablemente, nuestra situación económica y laboral no nos permite reunir el dinero necesario para comprar sus pasajes hasta Madrid y por esa razón hemos decido abrir esta campaña de recaudación.
Es una medida desesperada ante una situación aún más desesperada, y cualquier ayuda, por mínima que sea, es un granito de arena más para llegar a la meta. Los 3000 € que queremos recaudar irán destinados a billetes de avión, asistencia durante el vuelo, seguro médico de viaje y trámites legales. El dinero será retirado por mi hermana aquí en España, quien se encargará de gestionarlo, comprar los billetes y enviárselos digitalmente a mis padres junto con toda la documentación pertinente.
Por primera vez en mucho tiempo, son ellos los que necesitan que alguien les tienda la mano, cualquier contribución que puedan hacer será bienvenida y muy agradecida.

WE NEED TO BRING THEM TO SPAIN RIGHT NOW
My name is Ninoska Graterol and I am raising money for my parents: my dad Hermes is 82 years old and my mum Tere is 75 years old, they live in Venezuela and we need to bring them over to Spain as soon as possible.
My parents need help, treatment and healthcare, specially my father who had a stroke a few years ago and needs treatment for the rest of his life. He also has a very bad heart condition since last year that has gotten worse because in Venezuela, he doesn’t have access to the meds he needs, and not taking them causes his lungs to fill up with liquid. Every day that goes by his condition worsens.
They live in Maracaibo, where the situation has gotten to a breaking point, where they can spend days on end without water or electricity in a city where the heat is unbearable year-round. During one of the latest 12-hour blackouts, my father tripped because he couldn’t see where he was going and broke his shoulder. Just taking him to the hospital was a monumental adventure as the city is lacking propper public transport. To make matters worse, there are food shortages which are terrifying and make it so they are food-insecure and lacking proper nutrition, and the hyperinflation of the local currency (the bolívar) make everyday an impossible battle.
My parent are wonderful people and they deserve to be given every kindness, resources and attention they gave us growing up. They’ve always tended a helping hand to anyone that needed it, and I’ve honestly never known people more noble than them.
Their retirement plan was to spend their golden years with their children, grandchildren and friends, but because the situation is so critical in Venezuela, my siblings and I have had to emigrate and now it’s their turn to do the same. We are legal immigrants in Spain, and because of this, we can house them, support them and take care of their expenses once they’re here. Unfortunately, our economical situation falls short of covering the travel expenses they need in order to get to Madrid, which is why we’ve decided to make this campaign.
This is a desperate solution to an even more desperate situation, and any contribution you can give them, however small, will help us get them that much closer to us.
The 3000€ that we want to raise will go towards buying the plain tickets, in-flight assistance for the elderly, travel insurance and legal processing. The money will be withdrawn by my sister also living here in Spain, who will take care of purchasing the tickets and sending them digitally along with all the necessary documentation to my parents in Venezuela.
This is the first time that my parents are the ones in need of a helping hand instead of the other way around, any contribution that you can make will be welcome and appreciated.
