Tracy's Surgery and Recovery

Hey y'all! This is my mom, Tracy Thomas. She is a wonderful mother to me, and my little sister Rheagan.  She is also a wonderful wife to Mark Thomas. Tracy had her first back surgery back in 2014 and since then she has had four others. The fifth back surgery was on October 31st of 2019.  This back surgery involved them going in for a fusion, take off a bone spur, add two new rods, and drill some to make room for her nerves. They had to cut out some of her pelvic bone for the bone graft on her back. She has since spent 7 days in the hospital, and is currently on day 14 of being in CarePartners Rehabilitation Hospital. We were originally told that she would be in there around 13 days, but there was a good chance she wouldn't even be in there that long. However, now they are saying that she won't be getting to come home anytime soon. This back surgery has really taken it's toil on Tracy. It's extremely discouraging being stuck in a place, and being told that you have no chance of coming home "anytime soon." She is still in a lot of pain as she is recovering from this back surgery. Lately, she has started having severe muscle spasms that result in her entire body shaking which looks like she is having seizures. These have lasted anywhere from 5 to over 20 minutes. The medical bills are starting to come in, and these donations would be used to help pay the medical bills, for any prescriptions needed, and for gas.
