Traci - Mission to Thailand

In the fall of 2014 I was invited to be part of a mission team made up of nine women from my church (New Hope Community Church in Traverse City, Michigan). That very morning I had written in my devotional journal in response to the question, "Does God have great plans for my future?" and "What might those plans be?" Some of my responses were: influence, speaking, teaching, and extraordinary adventures. I also wrote a prayer that included, "I don't know what exactly You have for me next, but I do know that I want all You have for me. I don't want to miss anything because I am too afraid."

The phone call and invitation I received to participate in this mission seemed like a very clear answer to me!

When?
June 19-28, 2015

Where?
Bangkok's red-light district and a rural school in the northeast province.

Who will we be working with?
Dan and Pada who have been ministering in Thailand since 2003. We will be plugging in to their current ministry structures.

What will we be doing?
Ministering to girls in the red-light district, teaching English in the school, helping girls see their value, understanding the needs and ministry opportunities to those caught in human trafficking.

How will the funds be used?
The money raised will pay for my plane ticket, lodging, and food while in Thailand as well as any shots needed for the trip. It will also cover a 3-day human trafficking seminar I will be attending in March.

What if extra funds are donated?
Any extra funds will go toward items for the girls we minister to, school supplies, airline fees for one extra bag (to carry clothes and supplies to leave for the girls), and to help my fellow teammates if necessary.
