Help Traci Scott with the Cost of Cancer

We are reaching out to you to ask for your assistance on behalf of our friend, coworker, and fellow sandwich purveyor, Traci Scott. She was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer affecting her nether regions, and things aren't going to be easy for her for a while. 

Thankfully Traci is insured, but the cost of cancer goes beyond the medical bills that not even the best insurance covers in full. Her surgery is scheduled for April 11, and recovery will be at least a six week process, just from the surgery. Radiation will follow. During this time she will be unable to work, and assistance with those lost wages is not readily available through federal, state, or local programs. 

This process has happened really quickly. At this point they aren't even certain of the stage of the cancer, though things will be more clear after the surgery is complete. We have set a goal which we hope is reachable which should cover just lost wages during the minimum amount of time for her surgical recovery, but the need is likely to be greater. Please help as your ability allows, every bit counts. 

We will also be donating 20% of the proceeds from all gift cards purchased during Traci's recovery and will be looking for other ways to help as time goes on. 

It's going to be a challenge around here, Traci is an important part of the team, but she is as strong as they come, and we'll do our best. We are trimming our hours slightly while we wait for her to come back to health, but we will all be thinking about her and we will try to keep you up to date. Meanwhile, please come by and sign a card to show that you are thinking about her too. There will be cards at the shop for you to sign by Thursday, but feel free to bring your own.
