Make a Film 'In My Sister's Shoes'.

Donation protected
My name is Tracey Heers. I spent 2013 living in Thailand writing for Destiny Rescue, an organisation that exists to rescue children from the sex trade. Now I want to go back to make a short film to create awareness of this global atrocity.  I want to tell this story. It must be told. I want to be a voice for those kids - they don't have one of their own. I need you to help me.

The Issue
Child sex tourism is a lucrative market: paedophiles travel to poorer countries so they can hurt  and exploit and irrevocably harm. And then they go back home to their affluent lives.

They leave behind a swathe of impossibly damaged children... like road kill scattered in the wake of a speeding semi.

Our Response
What do we do with these facts? How do our lives and our hearts respond?

Do we put up barriers around our feeling selves; barricades to protect us from the pain and terror and horror of this reality?

Or do we do what we can – speak up, speak out, donate, write, speak, lobby governments about sex tourism, stay awake at night troubling over what we can do?

About the Film
The film will be entirely shot of feet - the feet of children in impoverished hill tribe villages; the feet of the parents who sell them or are tricked into ; the  feet of pimps and traffickers; and the feet of the beautiful young bar girls and the foreign men who travel to exploit them - thus the name 'In My Sister's Shoes'. This angle will protect the privacy of the children caught in this horrific industry and yet powerfully tell their story.

These kids need someoone to be their voice. With your help I can be that someone.
