Tracey thomson funeral

Last year whilst Tracey was pregnant, we realised that she had cervical cancer at 32 weeks pregnant a mass was found on her cervix, a few weeks later Tracey thought she was in labour, when we got to the hospital it was evident the mass had grown, and within a few hours an emergency biopsy on it lead to us in theatre and me being able to hold my cousins hand as Theo arrived by csection, we spent the weekend in hospital together enjoying Theo’s first few days, 
The next few weeks flew by with appointments to the hospital scans and lots of investigations, May came along and Tracey started chemo and radio therapy it was a tough 8 weeks with daily visits to the hospital, Monday’s where the longest days as she would be there all day, following this she then also had a course of brachytherapy  after being able to ring the bell for the complement of her treatment was a long three month wait to see how the treatment had gone, we were very positive as it looked like she had responded well to the treatment, just before Christmas we went for a review it was at that appointment we realised the treatment hadn’t work and that the tumour was very angry. After having a long chat with the consultant there was talk of a massive operation. (At this  point we where told Tracey had around 12 months) The operation would mean the removal of both the bladder-and bowl, together In January we went to Nottingham for Tracey to have another biopsy to see if she could have the operation. After a few weeks of waiting for the results we attended an appointment with the consultant who said he didn’t think the operation would work as the cancer had spread to far but would do another biopsy to check his findings first, our auntie Tracey took Tracey to this biopsy again over in Nottingham, it was after that biopsy that Tracey was given months left to live. I left my family home on the 23rd of April to move in a look after Tracey, our auntie Tracey moved in a few days later to help. We spent the next four weeks by Tracey’s side, we laughed, we cried, we made some lasting memories with her close family and friends, 

I'm hoping to be able to raise awareness of cervical cancer Tracey was diagnosed at only 35 I have seen first hand how awful this disease is, 
Tracey leaves behind her five sons who will always hear the stories of her life’s adventures, we have some lovely photos  to share with them, 

Tracey's wish was for a wicker basket for her departure unfortunately she didn’t manage to save enough, I would like to be able to do this for her.  With covid 19 Tracey will only be able tohave a very small funeral with 16 people. I would like to be able to share the link for the ceremony so that friends and family not able to attend the service can do so from home.
