Tracey's medical fund

Donation protected

Tracey is a single woman living on her own with two grown boys who live out of province. Last fall she began having issues with her left arm.  Today this arm has little function and she is in constant pain with it.  Five years ago, she was diagnosed with DCIS and had a lumpectomy surgery and radiation treatments.   Since then she has been cancer free, but the disease has now returned with a vengeance.

After numerous tests and biopsies spanning the bulk of this year, she has now been diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in the bone.   Currently there are some issues with her liver, so this needs to be addressed before any treatment can be started.  The oncologists will treat the cancer with chemotherapy but is not curable.  As with most cancers the doctors can only speculate a time frame, but possibly 5 years was the last update.   They need to check her colon as well, as there were some spots the doctors were unsure of.  So, this also needs to be dealt with.

She is a hardworking and independent woman.  Up until the spring she worked two jobs, one full time and one part time.  She had to resign from her part time job early this year due to her arm and the lack of function with it.  She has now had to go on leave from her full time job so she can fight and do the treatments necessary to keep this beast at bay.

Tracey has touched so many people in many ways and is always there to help at any time.   She is a warrior!  But she has hard times ahead, the emotional burden alone will be hard to bear.   Financially, it will be difficult, as work benefits will not be sufficient to cover the cost of medical expenses, parking, gas, etc.    She needs everyone’s support right now.

Please donate if you can, so we can make Tracey’s life a little easier.  Even small amounts will help.

If you can’t help with a monetary donation, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.  Positive thoughts go a long way too!

Thank you.

This fund was set up by myself, Gloria Quesnel, Tracey's best friend and coworker.  Her sister Shannon Morrison and I have opened a bank account at BMO in our names so that we can monitor the funds on Tracey's behalf in case she is medically unable to handle this herself.     We are both located in Cambridge, Ontario as is Tracey.   The funds will be used for any medical expenses she will incur as well as helping her financially until disability payments are made available to her.
