Rebuilding after Losing Everything

My hardworking, proud Texas family would never do a Gofundme page for themselves, so me and my sister-in-law Tirsa are doing it for them. Hurricane Harvey wreaked its devastation on Houston this week, and my sister-in-law Fanny, brother-in-law Alfonso, niece Scarlet and nephews Isaac, Jaydn and Jacob lost their home and all their belongings to flooding. Their youngest, Jacob, is only 3 years old. Scarlet is a child with special needs.
Last night the police knocked on their door and told them to evacuate, and that if they did not leave they would not be rescued. They left their home with only the shirts on their backs and each other and safely made it to a friend's home 15 minutes away.
The next day, their home was destroyed. The levees were lifted, and the water rose to chest level. My heart breaks for Fanny, Alfonso and the kids. They must feel so helpless. My sister-in-law Fanny, who always has a smile on her face, and gives the shirt off her back to anyone in need, would do anything she could to help others. In fact, she has done amazing and generous things for friends and family in her lifetime, and has never asked for anything in return. Now, she finds herself and her children without a home. They lost literally everything.
Many people in the rest of the United States want to help, donate and are wondering how to. HERE IS HOW TO DIRECTLY AFFECT LIVES. This platform will help Fanny and Alfonso find temporary housing, relocate if needed, begin to rebuild their lives, and help them put food in their babies' bellies and clothes on them. They probably need much more than $5,000 but this is a start so that their immediate decisions are not harder than they already have to be. Please consider donating anything you can.
