Muchas gracias.

He is Adolfo Hernandez Rodriguez. A Mexican migrant who arrived in this country, USA, in the year 2000, like many of us with the American dream when he was a teenager. He lost his father in a tragic accident and he, being here, was always helping his mother and his family. He had many friends who were more than friends. They were like his brothers because he helped everyone, he never told anyone that he couldn't help. He was always there where they needed him. Also here, he raised his family, his wife, and their two children, Maria, their 12-year-old daughter, and their 3-year-old son Jerry. They were everything to him, he also made sure they had everything they needed. He had so many plans that he could not make come true. Unfortunately, on Monday, September 21, when he was 39 years old, he got up to get ready to go to work like every day, he never thought that that day, at 6:20 am, would be the last day he would see his family They had to call 911 and the ambulance came for him.

When we got to the hospital, we sat in the waiting room. The nurse comes out and says "Family of Adolfo Hernandez", we stopped quickly thinking that it was nothing serious, that with prescribed medicine, everything would be fine. But when the nurse took us to the room he was not there, and I did not think much because he was not there. The nurse tells us that the doctor will be coming soon. The doctor enters and gives us the new that no one wants to hear. He told us, "we couldn't do anything, he's passed away," hearing those words, we were shocked. We felt that the world fell apart, and we had to go home without him. His wife, that day, Monday, was waiting to be told by the hospital, that they had been wrong. It was something so suddenly that nobody was ready for something like that because he was a person who did not smoke, drank alcohol, no drugs, nothing. A week before this tragic Monday, while he was talking with his co-worker, who he has been friends with for 17-year-old  and also a compadre, he told him that he would donate his organs and that's how it went. His mother, who is in Mexico, who he never saw again for 20 years, and his wife, both decided to donate his organs, just like when he was still with us, helping everyone. That is what gives us comfort, gives us the strength to continue forward, that he will be alive in many people as he wanted it to be.

This fundraiser is raised by Soledad and Rodrigo Sanchez Jr. His wife, Darita approved this site and all funds raised will go directly to her and her children as they recover from this terrible loss of their loved one.
