Ok so as most of you know by now my family has been asking everyone for prayers since December 23. Before misinformation is spread my family would like to make the announcement at this time to clear the air, and to inform our family and friends that have not been contacted yet of the news. With that being said, I have the following news to report.....
It is with many tears and heavy hearts that we are announcing that our daughter Jasmine Hebert was involved in a single vehicle accident on December 23rd. Due to the injuries sustained at the scene (which are not being shared publicly due to apparent reasons) she was left unresponsive and not breathing when air med arrived. She was revived in flight to the hospital thankfully. During the next few hours she coded several times but thankfully was brought back each time. She is now in ICU and listed in critical condition. She is currently on life support and was induced into a medical coma to treat her injuries. Over the last few days the hospital staff has worked around the clock, literally performing services to our daughter every 10 to 15 minutes. Her condition is very serious at the moment. And we appreciate all the work they are doing to help bring our little girl back to us. She is currently being weened off some if the medications that were keeping her sedated and in the medical coma. So now we sit and wait.
This recovery page was set up to keep everyone informed on her tecovery progress and also where you will be able to get up to date information on her condition as our family sees fit to distribute it. You can also post inspiring things about Jasmine that mean something to you. This will be shared with her after she recovers so that she can see how much she means to everyone. Please respect our wishes to some privacy as this is a very delicate and fast changing situation. We also ask that only immediate and extended family come to the ICU to see her. If you do not know if you fit into this category please respond to this post and ask for permission. I will then PM the details and times of visitation and the hospital she is in.
So as I scroll down facebook and see all the posts of families spending the day together eating Christmas dinner and opening gifts, just remember that FAMILY is the ultimate gift. And that gift can be taking away from you in a split second. So please enjoy all the giving and receiving of joy this season and seasons in the future. But ultimately enjoy each other!!!! As for my family.....we are only asking that our little girl is brought back to us by the third miracle we can receive. Merry Christmas from the Davis Family to yours!
