We’ve come together as a nation... now it’s time to come together as a club.
Pieta House Cork is a charity with which we’ve had a long-standing association with, but unfortunately due to the times we now live in, their annual Darkness into Light fundraiser has bit a hurdle.
But what’ll we do?
WE’LL STEP OVER IT!!
(1million times to be exact ♂️♀️)
We are calling on all members to be as creative as they can in getting up on the morning of the 9th of May and getting as much steps as possible done in that day to help add to our overall goal of 1 MILLION STEPS!
We need your to video or photograph yourself doing your steps and send or upload them to social media yourself using the #BarrsSteps4Pieta
Finally, but most importantly, we need you to spread the word of this fundraiser. The GoFundMe link will be going live early next week but right now we need people to be aware that this is happening!!

On behalf of the fundraising team of myself, Mick Finn and Tony Doolan we would like to thank each and every donor and participant in #BarrsSteps4Pieta for your tremendous support over the past week. We have been in contact with Pieta House and have been ensured that all funds raised from our fundraiser will remain in Cork and we will be transferring the funds directly from this GoFundMe page to their bank this evening.
Hopefully, when all things COVID related calm down, we will be able to mark this terrific achievement with some form of event in the club. Until then, all we can say is thank you.
