The 2017 Air Race Team #28's Friends, Family & Fans Sponsorship page:
The Air Race Classic, Inc. (ARC) is a non-profit organization, originating in 1929, that organizes an all women’s air race. The ARC, which began in the days of Amelia Earhart, uses the annual race to encourage and educate pilots while preserving and promoting the tradition of pioneering women in aviation. Race teams, consisting of at least two female pilots, must fly the approximately 2,400 miles course during day Visual Flight Rules (VFR) in less than four days.
Tessa Roberts (captain) and Teresa Ortega (copilot) of ARC Team#28 decided to have this special sponsorship page after so many friends and family members asked how they could help the team on their journey across the United States. All sponsorship monies raised will be exclusively utilized for the team's 2017 race expenses.
Special note: Team #28 is thrilled to announce that all sponsorship monies raised above the team's actual race expenses will be donated for a scholarship (in the Team’s name) to a woman to help her earn her wings (private pilot certificate)! Go Sky Vixens!
