Charlie's Emergency Medical Fund

My best friend Charlie had a medical emergency last night. My 10 month old cocker spaniel got ahold of my asthma inhaler when he jumped onto my night stand, and bit it open before I could get it out of his mouth. I immediately called Animal Poison Control as his breathing and heart rate began to increase. After speaking with the vet on the phone I rushed him to the animal hospital for further treatment. The medicine he was exposed to was Albuterol Sulfate, an aerosol which is extremely poisonous to dogs. They told me Charlie needed to be monitored for 24 to 36 hours. The vet would keep track of his heart rate, breathing rate, potassium and all other vitals that are affected by this type of poison. If I were to take him home he could have dropped dead suddenly, as I would not be able to keep a track of these vitals accurately without proper equipment. Charlie is still with the emergency vet as of this morning (11/28) and the vet bills have already reached $1,500 and it has been estimated to go up to $2,000. I am not really able to afford this vet care, but also was not willing to risk my best friend's life. Due to covid and the shut down of Erie County I have just lost my job, putting me in a tough place.  Any donations to Charlie and I would be so greatly appreciated.
