Toy making: turning my sculpts into toys!

Donation protected
Hey everyone!!! This is a bit of a long read,  but I'm reaching out to you all to try and take the next step with achieving my dream as an artist   This means a lot to me, so please read to the end

So for years many of you have seen me work and practice developing my art, and the metamorphosis of my freelance business The Jagged Beetle.  I've dabbled in many different mediums,  and spent a long time feeling out my path with my creations.  The last 3 years I feel I have truly narrowed down my passion, and dream for the future of my art. I've thought about it a lot, and I've decided-

I  want to make toys!!!

I have such a passion for the moment of joy a toy brings to people of all ages.  The memories I have of those moments as a child are some of the most pure joys I can recall, and to be fair,  I've never outgrown that feeling!

Living with vegitative depression since I was about 15- I found myself  chasing so intently after small joys, moments of pure blissful- yet simple happiness.  Something tangible that could ground me in a positive emotion. Time and again I found find myself sifting through boxes of trinkets, baubles, and childhood toys. These little things would bring my mind back to a peaceful place, and nurture inspiration in me. Often- something as simple as a toy in the palm of my hand could bring me back to the world of creative desire.  "I want to make things that make people happy, like this made me for that moment ".  The concept kept me going.

As I've grown older I look back on times I felt that way, and I see myself as a child- standing in the toy aisle, amazed at a world full of fun.  I think it is so important to have little reminders in our lives- of the things that made being a kid so great.  What being free of burdens for a moment feels like. And I fully believe we should continue to seek those little reminders of our inner child.

I would love to make my purpose in life as an artist- to be designing toys for the kid in all of us. Because sometimes there's a part of our heart that needs a reason to smile

I have done research,  studied,  and educated myself.  I am incredibly enthralled with the evolution of toys, and toy collectors over time.  I think its a rather beautiful thing,  and I want to be part of making those moments part of peoples lives.

The problem: Production time vs demand.
I really enjoy making my art and sculpts for people,  but I'm also having a hard time keeping up with demand!  In turn,  the development of new designs to completed items, is SLOW..... On top of this production time issue- its just not realistic to sculpt the same thing multiple times for each customer, for the sake of design consistency.  So, what can I do to solve this issue, and bring more designs, to more people, in 1/3 of the time?

The solution: TOY CASTING SUPPLIES

In order to move forward with this dream/ business venture- I need to purchase quality toy casting tools and supplies.  There are many options out there,  but I want to do this right!  Obtaining these supplies will allow me to take my own sculptures/ designs- and turn them into resin toys, with reusable molds!

Here's what I need:
- vacuum chamber ( for making silicone molds of my designs)

- pressure chamber (for making the actual resin toy- bubble free for better quality)

- high quality silicone (for molds)

-reliable and high quality resin (for nice textured toys. Think: vinyl mystery box collectibles)

-apoxy sculpt ( for filling any small areas, and adding post cast details)

-materials to make a small level work table so all pours come out clean ( bc our house is on a slant)

-other small misc materials to get started like gloves,  silicone stir sticks, foil, packing tape, package labels, more cards,  ect

-upgrading my sculpting tools as mine are very worn.

-small yearly fee to purchase my domain name, so I can have a legitimate sales site for my art

-YOUR HELP!

I would be so very grateful for any help in this venture.  My work time would be cut down to a fraction- and I would finally be able to create batches big enough to list on a website. As it stands now it takes me about 1-2 weeks to produce very small batches, and I sell out in 24-48 hours, with people asking to be put on waiting lists. But if I can get these tools and materials,  my entire business will have the potential to change.  I could actually pursue a DREAM.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING THIS FAR!
If you decide to donate,  I really appreciate it! Even you are unable to donate please, PLEASE share

Thank you again for your ongoing support, encouragement,  and generosity.  I couldn't have gotten this far with my art if it wasn't for all of you.  I hope I am able to reach my goal, and follow my dream of making my art onto toys to share with the world
