Toy Drive in Memory of Ella Fields

We are collecting toys in memory of ELLA FIELDS to give to operation Snow Pile at the Golisano Children's hospital.
ONE TOY FOR JOY Rx FOR RECOVERY~
As some of you know our family has been collecting toys for children in the hospital and going through treatment during the holidays for many years. In 2003 we had twin girls that were diagnosed with Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis which is a rapidly fatal childhood disease. My twin Ella passed away on August 2nd 2004 and my other twin (Grace) is still fighting and has medical challenges from the disease and her bone marrow transplant---we do this in memory and honor of our daughters. This year we are again donating all the toys to the Golisano Children's hospital Operation Snow Pile. We are helping the Marco Island Interact club collect these toys and deliver them.  This is our way to give back as much as we can in appreciation for all the help we received when we were in the hospital.
It is always great to give kids in the hospital toys and games that help them through their illnesses and treatments and keep them occupied in the hospital. Our family was so grateful to have received donations of toys from other families over the holidays while we were in the hospital. I don't think those families realized how much we appreciated this kind gesture and how it made our holiday pass a little easier and brought joy to our children. Our family feels that Our Toy Drive is just a small way we can pay it forward to other families in the hospital during the holiday.
