When we initially signed up for the World's Toughest Mudder 2018 in Atlanta, GA our initial thought was "What were you thinking?! A 24 Hour Obstacle Course!?" After some comforting words from Amanda, we settled down and knew right away while we trained we wanted to work with a charity.
We started our search broad but as we searched we really started to narrow our search towards a couple defining criteria that Greenbriar Children's Center offered.
The First. We wanted to benefit children in need. Greenbriar Children's Center's mission is "to promote the healthy development of children and the strengthening of families. We provide services that include an emergency shelter, runaway/homeless, residential care, independent living, family preservation, early childhood education & care, and Project Safe Place." That mission resinated with all of us in some capacity.
The Second. We wanted an organization that we can interact with and give back to the community that will be supporting us as we train. We are four individuals with four entirely different backgrounds and Savannah brought us together and now we want to repay the favor.
Your donation will go towards a wonderful cause to help these children in need and no amount is too small or too late.
