Dear friends and family-
If you are reading this post, you most likely know that I am a mother to 3 young men. And they are my heart!
I have recently befriended 3 young men, almost exactly the same ages as my boys. I have known them for 1 week. Their mother was diagnosed with brain cancer, and went through many surgeries trying to fight the disease. Unfortunately, she passed away this past February. The last few months were very difficult, as she was divorced from the boy's father. She relied on her sons to transport her to and from Duke and other medical facilities for treatment. She relied on her son's to help keep the household running, and to take care of her pets. They did this while attending school, the oldest attending college out of state! What a difficult situation for boys so young! They are receiving MANY bills and collection notices from their Mother's treatment facilities, and they are trying to work through this while figuring out how to handle the bills and the home. And how (and if) they can return to college! It has been a very emotional time as you can imagine! Now that summer is here, and the oldest is back in state, they have really been focusing their time and energy into taking care of these responsibilities. They are great kids!!!!
But yesterday, they got a call that no one was expecting. Their Dad died unexpectedly! In the midst of grieving over the loss of their Mom, they have now lost their other parent! Their Father had no assets, and therefore there is no money for his funeral expenses. I am asking all of you to prayerfully consider donating to this fund to help cover the cost of their Dad's funeral. I know that if we all pull together, we can make a significant contribution to help these boys. They will be blessed and, I promise you, you will be too! Thank you, in advance, for your willingness to help these 3 boys!
