Cory Tottenham is a vibrant father to 3 young ladies – Madison age 11, Kiera age 12 and 15-year-old Ashlee. He prides himself in being a great caregiver to his daughters and is always thinking of those around him.

In 2010 Cory’s life changed when he was first diagnosed with cancer and his right kidney was removed, shortly after he was given the all clear and back to living life.
Two years later, he was told the cancer had returned.

With very grim odds for success, in August 2015 he underwent major surgery in Vancouver to remove a large tumour which had spread around his liver, causing him to suffer from serious edema. Beating all odds, in October that year he was given a cancer free diagnosis.

While it appeared his challenges were behind him, sadly a CT scan in January 2016 confirmed it had returned.
It has since spread to his bones, abdomen, left lung, chest and lymph nodes.

Despite his continuing battle with cancer Cory has remained a positive person, dedicated to fighting this disease head on. Rather than be sombre, he makes a conscious effort daily to focus on the positive elements in his life and put a smile on his face and spread cheer to those around him.

At this time Cory is scheduled to undergo surgery on December 13th to remove the tumour in his chest. He will then be scheduled to start radiation treatment in Kelowna.

Cory has done an amazing job at keeping up with raising his 3 daughters, taking care of their house and his pit-bull-mastiff dog Roxy. Fortunately Cory's cancer medications are covered, but as his Long Term Disability benefits are less than full wages, this long journey has begun to take a financial toll.

At this time Cory and his family would benefit greatly from any financial assistance that would allow Cory to continue his fight with cancer knowing that his daughters will be taken care of.  Especially while he is in the hospital this Christmas receiving treatment. In addition to financial aid, Cory and his family could also benefit from further assistance as outlined in the following Meal Train event.

Thank you for keeping Cory in your thoughts and prayers and extending any assistance to support his fight against cancer.
