Hello! Salut! Ciao! Ahoj! Hallo! 你好！Hola!
My name is Caroline Jok and I’m a senior attending Seven Lakes High School. My sophomore year I received the honor of being selected to represent SLHS and my class of 1000 at the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) Texas Gulf Coast Congress. HOBY is a non-profit organization that works to empower high school leaders all over the globe. Their mission is to mobilize, inspire, and develop a global community of youth and volunteers dedicated to a life of leadership, service and innovation. It was at this conference that I began to find the intrinsic characteristics that make me who I am, and since then HOBY has played a tremendous part in helping me discover my passions, full potential, and a network of OUTSTANDING youth that are making a difference all over the world. Through HOBY, I have been involved in countless service projects, attended the HOBY World Leadership Congress, the Global Leadership Summit (2014) in Shang Hai on Business and Economics, and fallen in love with International Relations and Global Politics, which I plan on majoring in next fall.
I am asking for help in funding my trip to the HOBY United Kingdom Conference in April of 2015! This is a 3-day seminar held in Lancaster, England where I will attend panels of distinguished speakers, participate in service projects within the local area and make more personal connections with other world leaders. Be it any amount, every bit helps! If you are unable to help me financially, please help share my story. All money that I raise from this campaign will go towards my plane ticket, and seminar fees.
