Toronto Chapter: BIA Challenge

Donation protected
Our Chapter is proudly taking part in our Fraternity wide Brothers in Arm Challenge! This campaign is devoted to tackling the issue of active duty soldiers and military veterans taking their own lives.

The Brothers in Arms Challenge is a call to action for our chapters to get out in their communities and make an impact. Over the course of twenty-two days, chapters are encouraged to raise awareness on their campus, volunteer in their communities, and raise money for Stop Soldier Suicide and Veterans Transition Network.

Every year, more military personnel & Veterans die from suicide than any other cause, including combat. Veterans who have difficulties with the transition to civilian life are the most vulnerable: feeling isolated from the world saps the strength they need to combat depression, post-traumatic stress, or substance abuse. This period after they leave service has also been shown as the critical point keeping our Vets from winding up on the streets.

Every dollar raised in our campaign will go to Veterans Transition Network, a Canadian charity that aims to help veterans in their transition back into society. They provide crucial services such as counseling, skills training, and reintegration programming. Our goal in the next three weeks is to raise at least $1500 to help fund these initiatives.
