Tori's Basketball Trip to Germany

ABOUT ME:
My name is Tori, and I am a 17 year old, Renton High School Senior, who has been chosen to play on a team that will be traveling to Germany this summer! I am asking for donations to help my grandparents cover the $5000 tuition fee that covers this trip (details below). I don't think that I would be here asking for help today if my mother were still alive. Unfortunately, my mom died from complications of Multiple Sclerosis, when I was 7 years old, leaving me and my two siblings in the care of my grandparents. My grandma, not only cared for us kids but became my mom’s caregiver as well until it became physically impossible and she was moved to a nursing facility shortly before her death. I am beyond thankful for all that my grandma and grandpa have sacrificed for us. I am sure this is not how they pictured their golden years, but they’ve never complained, that’s just not who they are! Hopefully, this is one way I can help them, as they help me to experience this amazing opportunity!

MY BASKETBALL LIFE:
I have been playing basketball since the 5th grade. I made the varsity team for my high school the first year I played as a freshman! This year I am a Senior, and  I was chosen as co-captain of the team!

For the past two summers, I attended one of the country's most respected basketball camps, NBC Basketball Camp in Auburn, ( http://www.nbccamps.com/basketball/camps/auburn-adventist-academy/ ) where I was selected to play for the All-Star Team. Last Fall, they invited me to play for their International Team!

I have been offered a partial scholarship to play basketball at a local college, where I hope to also go on to study athletic training.
