Topeka Kansas Covid 3D Printed Masks PPE

My name is Paul and I live near Topeka Kansas. I am in law enforcement by trade and work as a patrolman at two different agencies. As a hobby, I am a "maker" in that I use CAD and design different ideas that I can print with my four (4) 3D printers.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, and when it became apparent our current PPE supply was not going to be enough, I researched ideas that others around the world had for the use of 3D printers and PPE.
I found a mask that someone else had designed and overall I liked how it turned out. I was going to print this design for my colleagues, family and neighbors. I found out the Kansas, overall, is running low on PPE. As of today's date, our governor told us that they have made three (3) orders from FEMA in the last month that have still not been delivered.
I met with the Chief Medical Officer and COVID-19 Incident Commander of the local branch of KU Med. I presented this mask and several other ones to her and the incident command staff. I told them that I am willing to make as many as I can at my expense. The staff reviewed the mask and in this very same meeting, I was told to start printing as many as I could.
I have the material, machines and basic knowledge to produce 5-10 masks per day. The hospital purchased two (2) more printers for this project. These printers will add the total output to 10-12 masks per day. In return, I purchased a $1,100 printer that will be able to print four (4) additional masks per day.
The masks will also be given to my EMS, Fire and Law Enforcement brothers and sisters at no cost to them. Specifically, these masks are being made with supplies paid for out of my pocket.
If this campaign makes $0, I will keep making them. Now is not a time to make money and is a time to sacrifice. This is my sacrifice and am completely fine it.
