<div>Seit meiner Jugend kämpfe ich mit starker Körperdysphorie in Bezug auf meine Brust. Um damit im Alltag besser umgehen zu können, habe ich über viele Jahre Binder und Tape genutzt. Beides hat mir zwar kurzfristig geholfen, richtet auf Dauer aber gesundheitlichen Schaden an.

<div>Durch das Tape habe ich bereits Narben, da meine Haut es nicht gut verträgt. Der Binder verursacht Schmerzen, Atemprobleme und belastet meinen Brustkorb zunehmend. Besonders durch mein Asthma wird das immer schwieriger und körperlich belastender.

<div>Ich lebe außerdem mit mehreren mentalen und körperlichen Erkrankungen, darunter Depressionen, ADHS, Autismus, Asthma, Migräne mit Aura und PTBS. Dazu kommen die Einschränkungen in meiner Mobilität. Mein rechtes Knie bereitet mir immer wieder Probleme, weshalb ich zeitweise auf Gehhilfen angewiesen bin. Zusätzlich treten regelmäßig Fatigue-Symptome auf, die vor allem meinen Kopf und meine Hände betreffen und meinen Alltag erschweren. Aufgrund meiner gesundheitlichen Situation bin ich aktuell frühverrentet. Ich bin ausgebildeter Ergotherapeut, kann in diesem Beruf momentan aber nicht arbeiten und verdiene mir zusätzlich etwas Geld durch Zeichen-Commissions.

<div>Mit meiner Rente und meinen Einnahmen komme ich irgendwie über die Runden, aber Rücklagen für einen geschlechtsangleichenden Eingriff aufzubauen ist für mich aktuell nicht möglich.

<div>Dieser Eingriff würde mir nicht nur körperlich helfen, sondern mir auch sehr viel Lebensqualität, Sicherheit und Erleichterung schenken. Er würde bedeuten, dass ich meinen Körper weniger verstecken, weniger Schmerzen durch Binder und Tape ertragen und freier durch den Alltag gehen könnte.

<div>Since my youth, I have struggled with severe body dysphoria related to my chest. In order to cope with everyday life, I have used binders and tape for many years. While both have helped me in the short term, they have caused harm to my health over time.

<div>The tape has already left scars because my skin does not tolerate it well. Binding causes pain, breathing difficulties and increasing strain on my ribcage. This has become even more difficult and physically exhausting because of my asthma.
</div>

<div>I also live with several mental and physical health conditions, including depression, ADHD, autism, asthma, migraine with aura and PTSD. On top of that, I have limitations in my mobility. My right knee causes recurring problems, which means I sometimes have to rely on walking aids. I also regularly experience fatigue symptoms, especially affecting my head and hands, which makes everyday life even more difficult.

<div>Due to my health situation, I am currently in early retirement. I am a trained occupational therapist, but I am currently unable to work in this profession. I earn some additional income through art commissions.

<div>With my pension and the money I earn, I somehow manage to get by, but I am not able to save up for gender-affirming surgery.
</div>

<div>That is why I am asking for support.
</div>

<div>This surgery would not only help me physically, but would also give me a great deal of quality of life, safety and relief. It would mean being able to hide my body less, endure less pain from binders and tape, and move through everyday life more freely.
