Hello friends,
I have been pushing this off for far too long but now I am ready to take some solid steps forward! I have felt a calling towards going into freelance diversity consulting for a pretty long time and I'm finally ready to get moving forward. My primary target markets are schools/universities/admissions offices, Christian churches and organizations, and individual people who desire to grow.
If you are reading this and know me, then you know how deep my passion for racial (re)conciliation goes. I have dedicated my entire adult life to teaching and speaking about racism, how to be anti-racist, as well as advocating on behalf of the disenfranchised. My knowledge base, education, public speaking and writing skills, as well as my personal experiences have given me a unique voice of advocacy that I wish to share on a larger scale and on a more consistent basis.
I would like to offer in-person trainings, video resources and messages, and eventually online courses as well. Since I am passionate about music, I am hoping to find ways to incorporate my musical gifts along the way. Here is a very small sample of the types of subjects and questions I would like to offer trainings on:
*What is racism? Where does it come from and how does it continue to play out today?
*What is intersectionality and why is knowledge of this ESSENTIAL to being an effective advocate for equality?
*How do systems of racial inequality impact educational achievement and why does this need to be considered in the college admissions process?
*Microaggressions: A death by a thousand cuts
*I want my organization/church/school to grow in ethnic diversity and we are trying really hard. Why are we not finding any success?
*Multicultural Worship: Why it is so important to the lifeblood of the church and how to do it well.
*Ethnic/Cultural/Racial Diversity: the Biblical Mandate
*Hip-Hop: Why is it relevant, how do you do it?
