Tonya Lathan's medical expenses

Hey all! I have someone heavy on my heart that I could use some help with...as some of you may know, one of my absolute favorite people that God ever created is my childhood friend, Tonya Lathan. Tonya has always been such a private person, but she could use ALL the prayers right now and honestly a little financial help. As some of you know, Tonya is a busy wife and mom always putting their needs before her own. She and Jamal have been together nearly 18 years and have 3 boys. One with autism, and intellectual disabilities, one in his senior year of college, and a 13 year old at Holy Nativity. They both work hard to provide for their family, but she has recently been given some very tough news.

Tonya was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. It is a very rare, aggressive cancer that does not yet have a cure. There is however treatment that could stop it from spreading. She is due to start daily radiation this Friday in Atlanta. As you know, she cannot make that commute daily and will have to stay in Georgia for at least 6 weeks with a possibility of more depending on how treatment goes. Tonya will be staying in a hotel that the cancer treatment center partners with, but this will be at their expense, not to mention missing work. Her vacation and time off has already been exhausted by appointments and illness.

So this is my plea for my precious friend: Pray for the very best outcome. Tonya's heart is at peace with God; but the unknown, especially with children, is scary. Pray for her husband and her children. Reach out to her! Cards, texts, encouragement...I will give you a mailing address as soon as she is settled. Please give financially if you feel led.
