Tonya Brooks Fight Against Cancer

Tonya, a former Pal-Con employee, left the Stephenville area a year ago to be closer to family while she enrolled in college to try to finish her degree. The last thing she was expecting was the diagnosis she got last month. She started having pain in her leg and noticed a lump that was growing so she went to the doctor and after multiple test was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma which is a type of bone cancer. Due to the necessary treatments she needs she will not be able to work over the next year.  Tonya is a single mother of an amazingly bright little girl named Willow. Tonya’s treatment is going to require her to stay in Houston for an anticipated 12 months – apart from Willow. Tonya will undergo chemo, have the bone replaced by a metal rod, learn to walk with the rod in place, and possibly additional chemo after the rod is in place. Tonya’s father battled cancer while they lived in the Stephenville area – sadly, now she will face that battle as well. Tonya is a strong willed, independent woman so we know she will be victorious over this awful disease and she can count on the support of all of us at PAL-CON!
