Tonya and Jamie are in dire need

As many of you may already know, Tonya Fritts is in the hospital. She came down with e-coli about a month ago. Since that diagnosis her life has completely changed and we still do not have very many answers, although they do not think the e-coli is related to what is now going on.
She was admitted into the hospital on September 13th, to this day she does not have a release date in place. Her body is full of ammonia. For those who do not know an elevated blood ammonia level occurs when the kidneys or liver are not working properly, allowing waste to remain in the bloodstream. Ammonia, like many other waste products in the body, can be poisonous to your cells, and an elevated blood ammonia level can affect your entire body.
This has Tonya talking out of the back of her head, she is simply incoherent and not progressing at all. The doctors are saying that she is incompetent, that there is so much ammonia poisoning her body, that they may not be able to get it all out.
The doctors' only suggestion at this point is to discharge her and admit her directly into a nursing facility. Her family simply refuses to just give up on her like that and will not be sending her to the nursing home, they are planning to take her back to her home with her sister Jamie.
Jamie was in a car wreck on June 20th, she had a concussion that she is still suffering from. She has been wrote out of work indefinitely by her doctor until she can be seen by a neurologist and given the permission to return to work. Her neurology appointment has been scheduled out to October 22nd, they had so many appointments backed up from the quarantine that was the earliest date they had. Tonya took care of her and helped her through her intermediate  recovery. Jamie is still not able to do everything she was able to do before the accident, she is still very weak and frail. However, since Tonya has been admitted into the hospital, Jamie has been by her side driving to the hospital to sit with her each and every day. She has had to make all of the decisions concerning her health such as blood transfusions, etc.. Jamie has been there helping the nurses by ordering her food, feeding her, changing her bed sheets, bathing her, trying to get her to walk a little, talking to her, and trying to help in every way possible. I cant imagine how horrible it must feel to have to watch your sister go through so much, see her life change so dramatically, having the doctors tell her that she may never recover, all while she herself is still recovering from a concussion. She tries her best to stay strong for her while she is talking out of her head and not understanding what she is speaking about, but she goes along with it because she knows that Tonya thinks its real and doesn't want to upset her.
They have been living together for over a year now, working together to pay the bills, buy the dogs food, keep groceries in the house, and gas/insurance for the car. Neither of them have been to work in quite sometime and have no more money for anything. I was able to assist in getting Jamie some food stamps and the social worker assigned to Tonya at the hospital is trying to work on medicaid for Tonya. However, that doesn't help with the light bill, dog food, or gas and insurance for Jamie to be able to get to the hospital daily. They also have a bad tire on the only car they have since Jamie's car was totaled when she was hit, it needs to be changed. Brooke and I will do what we can as we are struggling too. I am currently not working, I'm a full time student and Brooke just started working at a new job since her layoff back in May and has not got a paycheck that goes further than the past due bills we've had, and gas for our car. We are hoping that her next check will be enough to change one of our tires and their tire as well.
I am asking for any type of help you can give. Whether it is in the form of prayers, or a bag of dog food. I am talking with someone at Duke Energy tomorrow to see if we can come up with some sort of plan. I can show documentation if needed from each of them showing they are unable to work and disability takes well over a few months if not years to secure. Please pray for them both. This has been especially difficult to comprehend, she was doing just fine and in the blink of an eye she is being suggested to a nursing facility. Thank you for reading, I know it is very lengthy I just want everyone to understand the depth of their need. Have a blessed day.
