Tony Permanian's Medical Fund

Donation protected
Tony Permanian of Lake Geneva WI, almost lost his life, in early October 2017, due to a very dangerous bacterial infection affecting his entire body.

Originally thought to be the flu, Tony was not admitted to the hospital immediately. Sadly, he rapidly digressed at home. Within 48 hours, he began suffering extreme pain in his joints, resulting in his inability to walk. He was then taken, via ambulance, to Lakeland Hospital. There, doctors discovered his kidneys and heart were functioning at only 30%.

He was immediately transported to St Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee where they could address the severity of his condition more effectively. Tony was assigned a team of specialists who began aggressive treatments with  strong antibiotics, surgical procedures, and pain medications. They continued treatment with numerous tests including ultrasounds, angiograms, blood panels, and much more.

Due to the infection, large clusters of bacteria had formed inside Tony's heart, on the mitro-valve. This caused severe deterioration and resulted in the need for open heart surgery to replace the valve. In addition to this, pieces of bacteria and tissue broke away from heavily affected areas, then flowed through his blood stream effecting other
major organs. This was the cause of Tony's kidney failure.

Tony survived the surgery by the Grace of God, and a fantastic medical team! His kidney function is improving and he is fighting his way back to health. Tony has been given additional blood, had fluid taken off his lungs, and remains on oxygen. The lengthy
rehabilitation process will include at least 6 more
weeks of extremely expensive IV administered
antibiotics, physical/ occupational therapy, and work toward regaining normal functioning. For example: eating, dressing, showering, and moving independently again.

Tony is a very devoted and loving father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is an important member of the community of Lake Geneva where he has lived and worked for over 30 years. Tony is always willing to help others. He has donated many bows and items from his shop, Arrowsmiths Inc., to countless fundraisers and charities in and around his community. Tony can be counted on to assist friends, neighbors, and strangers alike. He holds the police and fire department in the highest regard, as well as members of the military who frequent his shop. Tony has enjoyed opening the shop to local Boy Scout troops, where he taught basic archery skills and safety, to assist these young men in earning their patches.

Now, TONY NEEDS YOU. The shop is currently closed, as Tony works alone running his business. This is his family’s only source of income. The hospital bills for this illness are extremely large and still growing. The financial burden is causing additional stress, which negatively affects healing.  PLEASE HELP him in whatever way you can. No amount is too small. Your thoughts and prayers for his full recovery are much appreciated too!

Lastly, THANK YOU to all of his awesome friends who have sent prayers, called, visited, and offered their help! What an amazing group of people!! Tony and his family genuinely appreciate you all!

Quick Note: Tony’s sister, Nanciann Lunsford, will be managing the funds for this account. It is a requirement of Go Fund Me to list the account manager.
