Tony Iannarone Cancer Fund

You may know Tony as one of the most iconic surfboard shapers on the East Coast.  I know Tony as one of my best friends in the world.  I know Tony as one of the most generous people I've ever met.  I know Tony as a single father who raised a beautiful young lady anyone would be proud to call their daughter.  A father who selflessly put her first since the beginning.

And I know Tony as a local business owner who through sheer will and determination made it through the recession with the doors barely open but never giving up on his passion to create beautiful works of art.  And then to have his shop on 1st street closed by a landlord with other plans.  

I know Tony as a sponsor of surfers young and old.  A business owner who gives back to the community.  As a man who hides a surfboard every Christmas for a young local grom to find.  I know Tony as a man who would give a freezing kid a t-shirt off the rack to warm up.  And I know Tony as a man unafraid to start over.

Now he has a new business, a daughter in her senior year of high school who's heading to college, and he has cancer.  He also has less than stellar insurance due to past health issues that he was able to overcome with more debt than any man should have to carry to be well.

I would do anything to help my friend, and I am asking for help in doing that.  Tony was there for me during one of the most challenging times in my life and I can't even come close to giving back in that magnitude.  

Tony's prognosis is good.  He has prostate cancer and it is treatable but treatment is expensive even with sub-par insurance.  And he still has to pay bills and try to keep his new business open throughout this challenging ordeal.  Please help me help him heal without the undo stress of the cost of treatment.  If everyone who has ever ridden one of his 10,000 surfboards gave only a few dollars we could meet this goal in a minute.  Join me as a community and help one of our own catch an easy wave to recovery.  Thank you and God bless.
