Help Celebrate Sammy Williams – Dancer, Singer, Actor and Friend

Goal:  $10,000

Sammy Williams was a kind, gentle person in private, but his theatrical performances were nothing short of captivating and attention-grabbing.  One of his crowning achievements came when he won the Tony Award for best performance by a featured actor in a musical in 1976 for his role as Paul SanMarco in the original production of “A Chorus Line”.

Recently Sammy passed away of cancer in Los Angeles on Saturday, March 17, 2018. He was 69.  His immediate family is planning a private service for Sammy, but his closest friends and family members will plan a more “theatrical” celebration of Sammy’s life in the Los Angeles area, and are asking for your financial support to help offset the costs.

Details of the event are being developed over the next few weeks and we will make updates here as information becomes available.

We realize that we’ve set a high goal, but the more funds we have will enable us to produce an event proportionate to Sammy’s final wishes. Any funds that exceed the cost of Sammy’s celebration will be donated to the American Cancer Society in Sammy Williams’ name.

Please share your generosity by donating to Sammy’s memorial fund, and invite others who knew and loved Sammy, to give as well.

Thank you so much.
