Toni Klassy Memorial

Donation protected
My lovely wife and mother to our 2 children, Toni Lynn Klassy passed away unexpectedly on Nov 11, 2017. She was only 52 and her birthday is in a few days. Toni is known as a funny, caring, bend over backwards for someone else kind of person.

On Nov 7, 2017 Toni was riding in a car with our daughter when she slumped over, our daughter couldn’t feel a pulse and called 911. Troopers from IL State Patrol District 15 (Downers Grove) acted quickly to save Toni’s life who was unconscious with no signs of breathing or pulse.  See the attached post https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1652905098082433&id=1126658684040413

They used an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) to bring her back to life, she was then taken to AMITA La Grange Memorial Hospital where she was in ICU until she passed.

Toni survived Kidney cancer surgery on Sept 24 when doctors took her right kidney, her left kidney also had cancer and she was to talk with doctors on Nov 8 as to a plan of action. Toni considered herself as a Cancer Survivor.

Because of the quick and lifesaving response of the Troopers, Toni was able to give myself and the rest of our family 4 more days to be with her before she passed away. This means a lot to our family. My daughter and I will be meeting with the Troopers on Nov 15 to say thank you from our family.

Toni and I have lived on the outside of Albuquerque, NM for the last 6 years. Before we started our new journey down there, we were lifelong resident of Southern WI. She has been in WI for the past few month to help family and this is when we found out she had cancer. She was treated at University of Wisconsin-Madison for her cancer.

Both Toni and I are very active in Civil Air Patrol, an auxiliary of the US Air Force. On Toni’s Facebook page many of the people who she has touched over her 52 years have made comments about how she was a mentor, inspired them, known for her laugh and smile and she was always willing to help everyone else. She didn’t accept the idea that she changed people’s life.

This GoFundMe page will allow people who she has touched around the country and the world to say thank you, to memorialize her and to continue her helping people mindset.

The money will help the family with final expenses and transportation, the family will be donating an AED to ISP in her name in order to help save someone else’s life. Anything left over after expenses will be donated to kidney cancer research/education. The family will contol all donations.

We will have a Celebration of Life for Toni in Wisconsin in June 2018 and in New Mexico in early 2018.  More information to follow.

Please leave your comments and words for her.
