Toms Chemo journey

Hi all

My name is Tom Kelly.

I've Lived in Chicago all my life and I work as an HVAC service tech.

I was laid off at the end of August and have not been able to work since and the year previous to the lay pretty slow with Covid.

One week later I was diagnosed with colon cancer and after all the testing and prep I had 10 inches of my colon removed in October. The cancer is stage 2. Although no cancer masses are present, there have been cancer cells found. Chemotherapy is needed for the next 6 months starting in December.

There is no way I can do HVAC while doing Chemo. Any type of employment is really not possible due to the time that will be needed for the Chemo.

My wife is currently working full time but I know she will have to be off now and then to also take care of me. We are a family that needed both incomes to pay our mortgage, gas, electric etc. and now incoming medical bills.

We are kind of out of options at this point and pray some people can help.
